A key aim of Hepara is to foster a deeper outworking of the connection between Gospel and business. At our Dazzle, you’ll be surrounded by like-minded people, who share a heart for Aotearoa.

At our May Dazzle, we’re privileged to have Ian and Wendy Kuperus with us. Ian and Wendy founded Tax Management NZ, pioneering the market for tax pooling in New Zealand, but early on became captured by the vision for investing in Gospel-shaped change. The Wilberforce Foundation is one outcome of their work, and reflects a long term effort to connect business, philanthropy and all forms of Gospel engagement.

We’ll be asking Ian and Wendy to share their story and what they’ve learned on the way. This is an extraordinary opportunity to hear from a couple who have not only led in business, and build a significant enterprise, but who have also focused over many years on how to invest and give in ways that maximise impact. These are not disconnected philanthropists, but thoughtful leaders with skin in the game, who are generously giving of their time to feed into our conversation.

We will also have Dr Roshan Allpress, National Principal of Laidlaw College sharing the story of the Clapham Sect – bringing historical and present day Gospel innovation into conversation. We tell stories like that of William Wilberforce, Henry Thornton and the Clapham Sect to inspire a deeper imagination and we gather people who are committed to working this out in twenty first century Aotearoa.
